| Philip Goss: Bronze and Bog Oak | ||
| A self-taught artist, shaped by his experience of the contrasting physical and cultural landscapes of Belfast, Carlingford and Donegal, Philips creative output over the past few years has been prolific. This exhibition will focus the bronze and bog oak sculptures but a number of paintings by Philip will also accompany the sculpture. Philip’s landscapes and seascapes not only capture the hues of nature but the myriad of colours and changing light seem to convey a sense of the land and sea being transformed physically and metaphysically by the seasons. As a sculptor, Philip works primarily in Irish bog oak and in bronze, handling both with an impressive dexterity, as exemplified by the stunning Children of Lir in cast bronze and the equally impressive brooding bog oak sculpture of the dying Cúchulainn. |

| Séamus McGreevy and Dónal Ó Dálaigh | ||
| Séamus is primarily a musician, playing classical guitar and traditional music on fiddle. He teaches a programme of music with St John of God's for people with intellectual disabilities. His love of painting and music has always been there; his love of painting and music has always been a marriage of creativity. This new work incorporates a journey of ever changing expression that flows from eye and ear to mind and from brush to canvas. Dónal, a graphic designer by trade, is no stranger to artistic projects in the community. He has painted a series of murals covering various themes from the Great Famine to revisionism. Drawing from the influence of aboriginal art Dónal uses stylised figures to show the human form performing dynamic actions such as dance and music. This exhibition will be on display until January. |
